Accreditation

The Village School, founded in 1977, is an academically challenging Montessori school in Waldwick, NJ with program levels from Toddlers (18 months old) to Middle School. We are one of two Pre-K-8 schools in NJ that hold triple accreditation from The American Montessori Society (AMS)The Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA) and The New Jersey Association of Independent Schools (NJAIS).

The rigorous standards set by all three accrediting organizations demonstrate our commitment to academic excellence and continuous improvement. We strive to empower every student to be an independent, self-directed, self-motivated learner and a happy contributing member of our community. We recognize that each child is unique with individual talents, interests and abilities.

The Village School is designed and devoted to helping each child fulfill his/her greatest potential in an environment that is both academically stimulating and supportive. The Village School offers an astonishing alternative to traditional education in Bergen County.

WE INVITE YOU TO VISIT AND LEARN ABOUT THIS DISTINCTIVE COMMUNITY OF ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE.

NJAIS believes that successful schools must periodically take time for self-reflection and an in-depth look at current practices, not only to assure compliance with the NJAIS Standards for Accreditation, but also to be certain that the school’s mission informs every aspect of school life, and that the process also centers on growth as an educational community.

Accreditation by the American Montessori Society provides guidance, empowerment, and high ideals to help your school community implement and sustain the rigorous standards of quality Montessori education.

Accreditation by the American Montessori Society is the gold standard of Montessori school excellence—the highest level of recognition your Montessori school can achieve, and a highly visible indicator of your school’s quality.

The Middle States Association is a worldwide leader in accreditation and school improvement. For over 125 years, Middle States has been helping school leaders establish and reach their goals, develop strategic plans, promote staff development and advance student achievement.
