The first ever Murder Mystery night was held last Friday, October 18th in the gym at The Village School. Set as an 80s rock concert, the fall fundraiser was well attended by lots of moms and dads who dusted off their florescent clothing and rediscovered their love for hair metal and rock ballads.
The interactive mystery show began as the stage was set for Poison Rattstein to sing. However, before too many groupies could start fainting, not one, but two people were “removed” from the scene! Lots of parents, both veterans and new, showed their acting talents as the audience worked together to uncover clues to find the guilty party – could it be Madonna, Bananarama, Olivia Newton-John or Sheena Easton that was involved in the heinous crime? In the end, all fingers pointed to the icon of electric blue eyeshadow and teased hair, Cyndi Leapyear. After the mystery was solved, the evening continued with non-stop 80’s tunes and dancing the night away. It was a bodacious, rad night and a totally awesome time was had by all.
A big thank you to the Murder Mystery Committee, Kristen Fava, Toni Marie Hache, Sue Kwon, Valerie Magnus and Kristen Tsarnas for putting together the wonderful decorations, entertainment, raffles and FUN!
