Re-cap of Part One: On Wednesday, March 23rd, parents gathered in the old art room to share information on our kids and the ever-evolving topic of technology and internet safety. Village School technology teacher, Tina Black opened the discussion by giving an overview of what safety skills she strives to instill in her students from kindergarten to 8th grade. Tina, who is also a parent, shared information on some tactics that could be helpful to other parents in monitoring the access and usage their children have on computers and mobile devices. After Tina’s introduction, parents shared their concerns, questions and advice. Many parents expressed how helpful it was to hear from parents of older children about situations they have faced and how they dealt with them.
