Congratulations to our Village School coding students! Two teams competed the national Code Rush competition hosted by CodeMonkey, the world’s leading game-based learning platform for teaching real coding to K-8 students. Teams unlocked a progressive series of 140 coding challenges through collaborative play and problem-solving to learn to read and write in real programming languages. See the Press Release HERE.
Out of thousands of entrants from hundreds of teams from 35 states, our Grade 3 -5 team came in 5th place and our Grade 6 – 8 team came in 3rd place. This is an amazing result and did not go unnoticed by the local public schools who also entered and called us wanting to know “what The Village School’s secret was!” See the article below for more details. A shout out to our very own Technology teacher, Tina Black for leading these teams! Go Village School!!!!!!!
