This was the first of many new traditions for Village School students and staff; a day of celebrating the United Nations in our unique way. The students began the day by gathering for the opening ceremony which included songs during the procession of the nations. Throughout the day students experienced different traits from all the continents including dance, art, music, games, geography, fruits, vegetables, and cheese sampling around the world. Various connections were made throughout the day as students identified how all the multiple cultures relate to work they experience in the classroom. A great day by was had by all. Everyone (students, faculty, parents) played a vital role in making the day a success. Thank you to all who volunteered.
