The Village School is a private, not-for-profit Montessori School educating children in programs from Toddler through Middle School. Students come from Bergen, Passaic and Rockland counties and range in age from 18 months to 14 years old.

The school was founded on the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori. It reflects her belief that each child is unique with his/her own individual talents, interests, and internal schedules. Our school, both physically and philosophically, is designed so that each child can pursue the course that will best promote his/her natural development and fulfill his/her greater potential in an environment that is academically challenging and supportive.

The Village School is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and The American Montessori Society. The School is also a member of the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools and the New Jersey Montessori Administrator's Council.
