*Applications still being accepted for 2008-2009 school year*

The application process:

The application process for the 2009 - 2010 school year begins in October 2007. New students are accepted based on availability of open positions in the respective programs.

Parents of prospective students are encouraged to begin by attending an open house in order to learn about The Village School -- its philosophy, approach, and structure.

Interested parents then typically take part in an in-classroom observation lasting 15 minutes followed by a brief tour of The Village School. We recommend that this first visit, if possible, be without your child, so that you may focus on the approach and features of The Village School.

After your first visit, you may submit an application, with a non-refundable application fee of $50.00. (If you applied in January or before, you will be notified in February of the openings).

An interview will then be scheduled for the parent, child, and theSchool, to determine if the Village School provides an appropriate match for the child. This interview, an in-class visit (for Kindergarten age and above), and an evaluation of the student's records and application form the basis for acceptance to the Program.

Application to the School does not guarantee placement.

Registration:

Registration for incumbent families occurs first. This will take place in January 2008 for the 2008 - 2009 school year.  This phase in the registration process determines the number of available positions for new students. New student interviews and registrations commence subsequent to incumbent registration.
