The Village School, a private,
not-for-profit Montessori school, educates children in programs from
Toddler through Middle School. Students come from Bergen, Passaic,
Rockland and Orange counties and range in age from 18 months to 14 years
old.
The school was founded 30 years ago and is based on the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori. It reflects her view that each child is unique with his or her own individual talents, interests and internal schedules. The environment of the school is designed, both physically and philosophically, so that children can pursue the course that will promote their natural development and fulfill their potential.
